As an export shipper since 1978, we are able to handle all types of consignments regardless of size. Daily shipments consist of mailed packages, courier services, airfreight, ocean LCL, and full container loads. Each and every shipment released is based on the client’s instructions.

We can search for the most economical rate for the client’s destination or use his designated agent. Because of our many years in the export business, we are able to secure the lowest possible freight rates for all types of shipments.

Two departments handle the shipping of all orders from Express Parts, Inc. The departments are the shipping/receiving people in the warehouse and the invoicing department in the office. Our shipping/receiving people ensure all parts received from vendors are correct and in good condition. They also check part numbers and descriptions when repacking for safe transit to the client’s doors. Our invoicing department checks the parts against orders and then prepares the commercial invoice and export documents.

AIR MAIL CONSIGNMENTS
We are able to send envelopes and small packages via the postal system. Two local airmail facilities are close to our office. We will ship via the post if instructed by a client; however, this is not the most secure system to use as tracking is impossible and will not even be initiated until after 30 days from shipping date.

Courier Services
Express Parts has excellent rates using DHL, FedEx, and UPS for small shipments from our door to your door. Although a premium rate is paid for courier orders, our special rates are sometimes lower than airfreight on the small packages. Remember, the courier service is to your door. We are also able to track the package as soon as it leaves our facility.

Air Freight
We will package your orders to the best of our abilities to ensure the smallest size, yet protect parts for airfreight shipping. Working with the airfreight forwarders, shipments are trucked to consolidation points for air shipping to the closest airport to the client’s facility. We use “airline approved” cartons for packing, and upon a client’s request, work with airlines for filling their aircraft containers (i.e. LD3). We can also work with the agent at the destination airport for delivery to the client’s facility if requested.

Ocean LCL (Less than Container Load)
This mode of transport is ideal for orders that are replenishing inventory, but not of an urgent need, and will not fill a complete ocean container. Express Parts will package the shipment for movement via an ocean carrier, then tender to a NVOCC to consolidate into an ocean container with other freight moving to the same area of the globe. Once this container arrives at the destination pier, the NVOCC’s agent breaks-down the cargo for the various consignees and arranges delivery. This type of movement is very economical, and we work with all the NVOCC agencies in the area to secure the lowest rates and fast service.

Ocean Containers
Again, Express Parts works with all the various ocean freight forwarders and carriers to secure the lowest rates with the best possible service. Majority of our shipments move over the East Coast of the U.S., but we can ship via any U.S. pier using any steamship line requested. Containers are loaded as carefully and completely as possible. Special packaging can also be performed, such as shelving installed in container, vehicles tied-down and blocked, and we even suspended a car body from the top of a container. All sizes of containers can be loaded - 20 foot, 40 foot, 40 foot high, and soft top.

Hazardous Freight
Shipping of hazardous freight (HazMat) is possible via airfreight and ocean freight with special packaging and documentation. In most cases, the courier services will not accept hazardous cargo. Express Parts has two employees who are trained in documentation and labeling of this cargo. We also have a licensed packaging service within a mile from our warehouse that will package according to carrier and government rulings. When ordering HazMat parts, please be prepared to wait additional time for delivery, pay fees for documentation and special packing, and higher freight costs.
